So Excited

Spring is here, trees have busted with leaves and color. "So what" right? Well I love summer and I love spring, not to mention it gets me motivated to do stuff! I have been working on a lot of new plans for Warth Arts and in particular Michael Warth Fine Art.

Many of you know the new direction for my art is following the traditional theme of still life in oil with a subject of wine being the center of attention. I have traveled to vineyards, and wineries in search of knowledge and reference photographs. New artwork is in production and I am so excited to be getting the new look of Michael Warth Fine Art out for all of you.

Again, "so what" right? Let me add...many of you have been waiting for this style/subject of art. I am so excited to be doing this new work. It is true that the landscapes and even the historical landmarks have been good to me but I really don't have the same passion for that particular subject matter. Also, The new work represents a new step in my art. Over time, I hope to evolve as a painter who specializes in wine and spirits paintings. There may be the occasional landscape (can we say trip to Florence Italy for landscapes of vineyards?), but most of the new work is still lifes.

Socially speaking, this style of art opens many doors for me. I love meeting new people and I love sharing a drink among friends. It really is the perfect match for me. Over time I hope to share what I have learned as well as the new paintings here on the blog. The ride begins...join me.

Michael
